Rhinoplasty surgery is a surgical procedure that aims to change the size, shape and structure of your nose. Facial development must be complete for rhinoplasty. This is typically around age 16 for women and 17-18 for men. There is no upper age limit, but overall health must be suitable for surgery.

In closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are made inside the nose with no visible external scars. In open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made at the base of the nose to provide the surgeon with a wider field of view. Your doctor will determine which method is most appropriate.

Blood thinning medications and aspirin should be stopped 2 weeks before surgery. Smoking should be quit at least 2 weeks prior. You should arrive on an empty stomach on the day of surgery.
